Below is a list of the ongoing and special giving/serving mission projects our congregation is currently committed to uphold. Please familiarize yourself with them; pray about them. Choose one, two, or whatever number you feel led to support and then do get involved in whatever way you can. We are a generous and giving congregation but no one is expected to be involved in all of these. And, please remember that Mission Team and other sponsoring entities always appreciate your prayers for these mission opportunities.

Operation Christmas Child
Sharing His Love— OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
115 Shoe boxes from Carrollton First UMC were sent. Thank you! Please plan to participate in this mission project next year. Did you know that Samaritan’s Purse adds literature about Jesus to every shoe box of gifts? Just think—your gifts and the gift of Jesus going to a child overseas! Plan to pack a box and be part of this mission to the world. Collection Sunday TBA.
Giving Opportunities: Carrollton Schools
The CARE Team actively assists families in our community to keep students (preK- grade 12) from “falling through the cracks” educationally and otherwise. The CARE Team came up with a monthly list of items that are needed by students/families.
For February/March these items are
- Easter Baskets/grass
- Empty plastic eggs/ egg coloring kits
- Canned vegetables
- Toilet paper
- Cake/Brownie, pudding mixes
Please place any items in the box outside the worship space.
Another way that the Carrollton Schools is meeting the needs of students is with the Blessings in a Backpack (BIB) program.
There are over 1000 students in the district that receive free or reduced lunches. Of those students, 275 have requested help with meals on the weekends. The BIB program sends home a bag with each of the students that consists of 2 breakfast, 2 lunch and 2 snack items. The cost for this program is $2 per week per student.
